Guide Hachette

Each year the Hachette judging panel, composed of different wine professionals (oenologists, winemakers, etc.), deliberates in each of France’s wine-making regions, tasting nearly 40,000 wines from the the previous vintage.

Roughly 10,000 wines ranked from 0 (nominated wine) to 3 stars (exceptional wine) are presented in the annual Hachette Guide. 500 “Favorite wine” prizes are attributed to the best wines of each region, even for less widely known appellations and cheaper varieties.
